This course takes an in depth look into life skills, professional image, infection control, shaving, and men’s hair cutting. We prepares students for licensure, the business of barbering and promotes hands on experiences.

The course cost is $14,000. If you work during the week, this course is great for you. We participate in Distance Education.

Hybrid Course - This course is partially online.
Course fees include barber kit, online software, registration and application fee.
Monday-Thursday 10am-2pm is the class schedule.
Military GI Bill Accepted.

Master Barber Program (1500 Hours)

This course takes an in depth look into life skills, professional image, infection control, facial massage, shaving, men’s hair replacement, hair coloring, and men’s hair cutting. This course prepares students for licensure, the business of barbering and promotes hands on experiences.

Master Barbering is based on a 1500 Hour unit of instruction.

50- Classroom Theory: Chemistry, cleansing, disinfecting, hygiene, grooming, laws and rules

25-Hair and Scalp Treatments, Shampooing, and Conditioning: Hair analysis, scalp conditioning treatments, shampoo procedure, shampoo formulas, water temperature

25- Shaving: Proper Handling technique of straight razor, learning the 14-stroke process

25- Coloring of Hair: Bleaching, Highlights, lowlights, types of color

70- Hair Cutting and Styling: proper use of implements (razors, sheers, clippers, trimmers, edgers)

20- Facial Hair Design and Waxing

65- Permanent Waving: Chemistry, rod placement

200-Theory

500- Hairstyling Techniques and Cutting: proper/improper handling of instruments

25- Shaving: Proper/improper Handling of instruments, proper disposal of razor blades, training on Mannequins and Live models

5- Shampooing: proper procedure, shampoo formula knowledge, water temperature

10- Facial Hair Design and Waxing

10- Scalp Treatment Techniques: hair analysis, scalp conditions, treatments

270- Permanent Waving, Relaxing, and Chemical Application: chemistry of cold wave solution, relaxers and reaction, rod placing techniques, color chemistry, color techniques, and chemical action of hair color
